UPS_Charge returns the correct United Parcel Service freight charge for Surface, 2nd Day Air and Next Day Air service, given a package weight and a valid UPS zone in the 50+ states (including Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico). Rates are those current as of 11/88. Federal Express rate charts for Next Day Air and 2nd Day Air are also supported. See the notes below.
Syntax:
get UPS_Charge( <zone> , <weight> )
<zone> Valid UPS surfaces zones are numbered 2 through 8...contact your local UPS office for the zone chart for your area.
Valid Next Day Air zones are:
0 (Federal Express - all)
22 (UPS - 48 cont. states)
24 (UPS - Alaska & Hawaii)
25 (UPS - Puerto Rico)
Valid 2nd Day Air zones are:
1 (Federal Express - all)
12 (UPS - 48 cont. states)
14 (UPS - Alaska metro & Hawaii)
15 (UPS - Puerto Rico)
16 (UPS - rural Alaska)
<weight> individual package weights may not exceed 70 pounds. Fractional pounds may be entered; per UPS and Federal Express rate schedules, they will be increased to the next weight classification, e.g. 4.1 lbs. is rounded up to 5 lbs.
